Medical Tattooing

Consultations:

The first part of any medical semi-permanent make up process is a consultation.

A visit to The Rooms Canterbury will enable us to discuss in detail the look you want to achieve and what we would recommend for you.

We will also address any questions you may have regarding the nipple reconstruction or scalp micro pigmentation process.  Once you are happy and we have an idea of the look you are aiming for, we draw the areola or hairline on with a makeup pencil.

We will then begin the tattoo process when you are completely happy with the proposed look.

Fast becoming the most sought after treatment for people with hairloss, Scalp Micropigmentation is a non-surgical solution that minimises the appearance of baldness and hair loss. The permanent ink perfectly replicates the look of hair follicles by implanting pigment into the dermal layer of the skin to give a natural looking 3D result.

For men who are considering hair transplantation but may not have enough donor hair, Scalp Micropigmentation is a great alternative, not to mention fashionable and creates a ‘buzz cut look’ that many celebrities or men have naturally. At a fraction of the cost, Scalp Micropigmentation gives instant results with no scaring or need for life-long medication to maintain the results, unlike with the hair transplant procedure.

SMP provides definition of front, side and rear hairlines as well as restoring a front hairline for full or partially bald heads. For those with a shaved head or no hair at all, the result is the look of a close shave or buzz cut style.

SMP is and ideal solution for concealing scars, whether from a prior surgical procedure or accident, as well as burns or birthmarks and alopecia.

NIPPLE RECONSTRUCTION

For male and female clients who need either partial/full

reconstruction or darkening of the areola colour.

The areola if first drawn on with a pencil to demonstrate the shape and position and when the client is satisfied with the placement a selection of colours will be implanted into the skin using shading and highlighting techniques to create a 3D affect.

Depending on scarring involved and the condition of the skin it can take between 1 and 3 sessions to get to your desired final result.

We can also work on softening and relaxing any hard scar tissue around the breast and also the donor site.

Prior to the treatment, you will have a personal consultation. We will need to understand what surgery or treatments you have had.

We will then discuss your desired outcome from the treatment and what you want to achieve. We’ll naturally take into account factors such as your skin tone and breast shape and size.

Shape and colours will then be drawn onto your skin using highlighting and shading techniques, to ensure you are completely happy with your desired result. Tattooing can create an incredibly realistic 3D affect. Straight after your first appointment the area will look darker in appearance. However, this will soften in a few days.
